The Metropolitan Golf Club members are well served by Aaron Gaulke’s thoughtful wine list, which covers all bases with a focus on Victorian wines. The range of chardonnay and pinot noir is enticing with grenache, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon paid due homage. The beer and spirits list adds gravitas – the malt whisky selection is superb. No/low alcohol drinks are paid due respect. The use of Coravin adds depth to the ‘by the glass’ list.
