Mitchell Harris Wines has won Australia's Consumer Choice Award.

Mitchell Harris Wines is one of the leading boutique wine producers and hospitality venues in Ballarat and Western Victoria and its no suprise they have won the highly competitive Australia’s Consumer Choice Award at the 2020 Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards.

Sponsored by Coravin; this award is as an opportunity for Australia’s consumers to express their recognition and gratitude for their favourite sommeliers and venues. So many venues have been overwhelmed by the support they have continued to receive from their customers.

Judges comments:

This is a fun, innovative wine list that feels as though its authors know how to have a good time. Things get off to a great start with several aged gems from the cellar being offered under Coravin, a great treat. Likewise the number of sparklings by the glass on offer. Naturally the list is peppered with Mitchell Harris Wines but with over 280 labels from which to choose, the guest is spoilt for choice. There is a fabulous selection of gin, and the cocktails are carefully curated. Australian wine, in particular Victorian, is also a strongly represented. Twenty years of wine collecting makes for a deep cellar, often with the luxury of bottle age. With prices to die for, this is a ripper wine program that presses the reader to put Ballarat on the bucket list.
